Avalanche, Big White Ski Resort

According to the Ottawa Citizen, two snowboarders were caught in an avalanche at Big White ski resort, in Canada and they were both injured. The avalanche happened around 11:00 AM in the Parachute Bowl on Sunday. The Parachute Bowl was checked by ski patrol and was said to be safe before the avalanche happened. Two other boarders where buried in the avalanche. Later that day three other’s were reported missing. Two were found and people are still searching for the third. Many people are on the look out, including 40-45 volunteer ski patrol, professional ski patrol, Canadian Avalanche Centre, rescue dogs, a police helicopter, and RCMP personnel.
