Greenpeace!

On Saturday Greenpeace said that they chased Japanese whalers out of hunting grounds. The Japanese were planning on killing around 1,000 whales in the Southern Ocean, but Greenpeace put a stop to that. Greenpeace said that they chased the main Japanese whaling boat, Nisshin Maru, through heavy fog for many miles, until they were out of hunting grounds. The fleet of whaling boats were separated from Nisshin Maru and they will not be able to hunt unless they are reunited with their main whaling boat. One of Greenpeace’s spokesman, Dave Walsh, said, "If they start whaling again we will launch inflatables and put ourselves between the harpoons and the whales." On the other hand Keiichi Nakajima, president of the Japan Whaling Association, says, “I urge Greenpeace…to keep a safe distance.”
