A London man was sentenced to four in a half year in jail after pleading guilty for planning to fly to Pakistan and carry out terrorist attacks. Sohail Qureshi was arrested 29, was arrested was arrested at Harthrow airport in October 2006 because he planned to fly to Islamabad. He was carrying thousands of dollars in cash, medical supplies, camping equipment, night vision scope and Mujahideen poison handbook. It has been known for a long time that Qureshi is a dedicated supporter of Islamism extremism. When in court it was discovered that Qureshi had been sending email messages to various unknown people stating, “Pray that I kill many, brother.” But the judge only sentenced him for four in half years because his offenses were at the lower end of the spectrum when handed down his sentence.
