South Africa creates a new sexual offences act. 12 to 15 year olds fall under this act and they are not happy about it. The act states that it is illegal for 12 to 15 year olds to kiss. A superintendent said "Can you really see the cops charging in on a party and breaking up two kids huddling in a corner having a kiss?" Chat groups on the internet were made for youngsters who are against the law. The government of South Africa say the aw was made because they think it will be another way to prevent HIV aids and girls from getting raped. A 13 year old boy exclaimed "i think it's stupid because we should be responsible enough to hold girls' hands without raping them or abusing them sexually."
