Core A GAOC Focus story

A roadside bomb killed three people and a soldier in Northern Sri Lanka. The bomb, possibly planted by the Tamil Tibe, hit a truck carrying explosives. Although the explosives in the truck did not go off, three more people were also injured. It’s possible that the Tabil attacked because of their issues with the nearly six-year-old truce with the government. The rebels had said they would cease their attacks but there are still continuos bombings and shootings from both sides. The army believes they can still “crush” them this year. The rebels are known as Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam but more commonly known as Tamil Tigers. They have been discimintated against for centuries by the majority Sinhalese
