Garbage Issues in Naples

According to BBC News, Naples is now under siege. By garbage. Garbage collectors have now stopped collecting the many piles of trash from all around Naples. The municipal dumps of the city were declared full almost a decade ago, causing huge problems concerning hygiene, feral animals, and many times transportation. The roads have now been confined to about one lane in most places, making room for the ever growing piles of trash brought out by the residents. More than two billion dollars has been appointed to finding a solution for the problem, and none of them have been successful. Trash incinerators were built, and never finished. Work has been halted for an ongoing investigation involving the mafia. Most rubbish has been burned in the past, by the citizens who find it to much, But the toxins and fumes from the trash has caused a serious health threat. The garbage has brought out many animals, like cat's and dog's, and even rats have made their presence known.
