Lucy's Newsieness

According to Aftenposten many Southern Norwegians had to dig their ways out of their homes this past week, after a giant snow storm. Last Friday strong winds and a major snowfall started causing problems, and by Saturday police were urging residents along Norway's southern coast to stay home. Many trucks and cars slid off icy roads and in many areas visiblity was reduced to zero. Fallen trees knocked down powerlines and at one point an estimated ten thousand homes were without power. Several hundred homes and bussinesses were still without power Monday morning but utility crews expected to restore most power by midday.
