Two protesters have been detained after boarding a Japanese whale boat in the Antarctic. They say they have been assaulted and tied to the radar mast by the Japanese crew. The two are British and Australianand wher not Japanese. BEcause they where not Japanese and boarding anouther countries boat they are now being held in custody. Minoru Morimoto, of the Institute of Cetacean Research, admitted the pair had been detained but denied they had been assaulted or harmed. "It is illegal to board another country's vessels on the high seas. As a result, at this stage, they are being held in custody while decisions are made on their future," he said.
