In Seattle, police are investigating the death of an inamte at the King County Jail. The man is unidentified but was booked into the jail on Dec. 28th, 2007, for investigation of auto theft. He was moved to the University of Washington Medical Center on Jan. 2nd, 2008. He was announced "dead", in the hospital on Saturday morning according to jail spokesman William Hayes. The King County Medical Examiner's Office has not identified the man because they are still investigating the cause and manner of his death. William Hayes did not say where he was hospitalized. Inmates in the King County Jail have suffered physical and sexual abuse at the hands of the gaurds. At least two other inmates have died from inadequate medical care and three others from suicides.
